• Notes for Rhetorical Precis:
  1. Include the author's full name and credentials.
  2. State the author's claim in YOUR OWN WORDS correctly, summarize!
  3. When summarizing, use your charting verbs to address what Stein does in the beginning, middle and end of his article and support with summarized evidence from the article.
  4. Be sure to enhance your rhetorical precis to include all required parts of the summary paragraph.
  • Write Body Paragraph 3, Author's Assumptions
    • Consider our discussion about Stein's assumptions and what evidence from the article to use to support these assumptions.
